Building a Steady Life, One Honest Step at a Time
I spent a long time trying to be the serious version of myself. The one who never relaxed, never laughed, never let anything slip. It took me a while to realize that being responsible does not mean being rigid. These days I show up with intention, consistency, and a little more humanity. This site is just a simple place to share my work, my writing, and the version of me that is actually real.
About Me
I am someone who believes in showing up. Not perfectly, not dramatically, just steadily. I have worked in different fields over the years, from running a martial arts school to working hands on jobs that keep me grounded. What matters to me now is building a stable routine, taking my work seriously, and keeping a sense of humor about everything else.I am based in Santa Maria, and I spend a lot of time biking, writing, learning, and trying to grow in ways that actually matter. I am not trying to impress anyone. I am just trying to be someone I can respect at the end of the day.
Writing
I write about the things I am learning as I rebuild my life with more clarity and less noise. My tone is straightforward, human, and sometimes a little rough around the edges… because that is real life. Here are the places where I publish:Substack
My main home for longer reflections and personal growth pieces.Medium
A second space where I share the same voice, just in a different neighborhood.Google Sites
My primary personal website with a clean overview of who I am.
Work and Values
I take my work seriously because it matters. It matters to the people I work with, the people I serve, and the version of me who is trying to build something steady. I care about doing things right the first time. I care about being someone others can count on. I care about showing up even on the days when it would be easier not to.But myself… I keep lighter. I let myself laugh. I let myself breathe. I let myself be human. It makes the work better, and it makes me better at it.
